RESOLUTION NO. 2024-002 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE WATER <br /> RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD FOR DIRECTED GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR THE <br /> WATER SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES PROJECT FOR WELLS 9 AND 10, AND <br /> DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED <br /> REPRESENTATIVE <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Pleasanton (the"City") desires and intends to finance expenditures <br /> related to the planning, design, and construction for the Water Supply Alternative (Wells 9 and <br /> 10) Project (the "Project"). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Approves this authorizing resolution to complete a Financial Assistance <br /> Application for the Project as required by the State Water Resources Control Board. <br /> SECTION 2. Designates the City Manager (the "Authorized Representative"), or <br /> designee, is hereby authorized and directed to sign and file, for and on behalf of the City, a <br /> Financial Assistance application for a financing agreement from the State Water Resources <br /> Control Board for the Project. <br /> SECTION 3. The Authorized Representative, or designee, is designated to provide for <br /> the assurances, certifications, and commitments required for the financial assistance application, <br /> including executing a financial assistance agreement from the State Water Resources Control <br /> Board and any amendments or changes thereto. <br /> SECTION 4. The Authorized Representative, or designee, is designated to represent the <br /> City in carrying out the City's responsibilities under the financing agreement, including certifying <br /> disbursement requests on behalf of the City and compliance with applicable state and federal <br /> laws. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on February 6, 2024. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of February, <br /> 2024, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Councilmember Arkin <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Jocjfy"i Kwo g, i1, Clerk <br /> APP ,OVED AS TO FORM: <br /> kial/t5W61 <br /> Daniel G.
