<br /> <br />Ordinance No. 2276 City Council, March 5, 2024 <br />Exhibit A to Ordinance 2276, PMC Amendments, Page 1 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> <br />Amend Section 2.30.020 Duties of Chapter 2.30 Planning Commission <br /> <br /> <br />§ 2.30.020 Duties. <br /> <br />A. The planning commission shall perform functions as outlined in this chapter. <br /> <br />B. The duties of the commission shall include the following: <br /> <br />1. Prepare, make recommendations to city council to adopt and administer a general <br />plan for the city and for land adjacent to the city for long term growth, subject to <br />revision as conditions and land uses change; <br />2. Prepare, make recommendations to city council to adopt and administer specific <br />plans, and area plans in accordance with the general plan, regulating land and <br />building uses, height and bulk of buildings, open spaces about buildings, lot <br />percentages, lot sizes and locations of buildings and rights-of-way; <br />3. Recommend to the city council amendments to the zoning ordinance to carry out the <br />general plan and specific plans; <br />4. Investigate, hear and determine applications for use permits and for variance permits <br />made pursuant to the zoning laws of the city; <br />5. Investigate, hear and determine disputes and controversies regarding the zoning <br />ordinance; <br />6. Review subdivision maps filed with the city, act as "advisory agency" pursuant to the <br />subdivision map act of the state of California in making recommendations concerning <br />said maps to the council; <br />7. Make recommendations to the city council and/or establish policies regarding <br />affordable housing projects affiliated with the city including preference and eligibility <br />criteria for city assisted housing, available grant applications, and new affordable <br />housing programs. <br />8. Review and make recommendations to the city council regarding community <br />development block grant applications for capital improvement and rehabilitation <br />projects. <br />9. As directed by the city council or in accordance with adopted City policy, review and <br />make recommendations to the city council regarding expenditures of the city’s lower <br />income housing fund. <br />10. Review and make recommendations to the city council regarding affordable housing <br />agreements entered into pursuant to Chapter 17.44. <br />// <br />Page 29 of 228
