CONTRACT <br />BERNAL A VENUE 18-INCH WATER MAIN (F-4 LINE)) & TURNOUT NO. 1 <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT NO. 24172 <br />THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 16th day of January 2024 by and <br />between Golden State Construction & Utility, Inc., ("Contractor"), whose address is 1222 <br />Funston Avenue , San Francisco , CA 94122 , and telephone number is ( 415) 949-8303 and <br />the CITY OF PLEASANTON , a municipal corporation ("City"). <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS , the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for BERNAL <br />AVENUE 18-INCH WATER MAIN (F-4 LINE)) & TURNOUT NO. 1 <br />IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 24172 <br />NOW, THEREFORE , in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein , <br />the parties agree as follows : <br />1. Work to be Performed. The work will generally consist of: <br />lrtstalling approximately 1,300 LF of 18-inch fully restrained ductile iron pipe by <br />open trench and 335 LF of 18-inch fusible polyvinyl chloride pipe by slip lining <br />through an existing 24-inch steel casing. Work also includes appurtenances <br />including flexible expansion joints, valves , combination air valve , service <br />connection, 12-inch pipe reconnection , cathodic bonding of all ductile iron pipe , <br />water main abandonment , and surface restoration. <br />The project also includes rehabilitating Turnout No . 1 located at 2722 Santa Rita <br />Road . Work at Turnout No. 1 includes removing and installing new piping , <br />val ving , flow meter and spall repairs to the existing vault. A new 6-inch fire <br />hydrant and piping will be installed adjacent to the vault.. <br />Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on <br />file with the Public Works Department, Engineering Division of the City and are <br />incorporated herein by this reference: <br />A. Approved Plan s and Specifications entitled the BERNAL <br />AVENUE 18-INCH WATER MAIN (F-4 LINE)) & <br />TURNOUT NO. 1 IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 24172, <br />and addenda thereto , if any. <br />B. Contract Change Orders approved by the City Engineer, done in <br />accordance with the Standard Specifications. <br />C.
