Resolution No. <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Members shall be reimbursed for appropriate expenses incurred when attending conferences if <br />budgeted and approved by the City Council. <br />1. Commercial Real Estate - A representative from a commercial builder, developer, or <br />business specializing in commercial real estate leasing or sales, with an office located in <br />Pleasanton or who directly serves the Pleasanton community. <br />2. Downtown Business - A representative from a business located in the city's downtown <br />district. <br />3. Retail – A representative from a retail business selling goods or services directly to <br />customers in-store located in Pleasanton. <br />4. Information Technology – A representative from an information technology business that <br />provides materials or services with an office located in Pleasanton. <br />5. Life Sciences – A representative from a business involved with research, development or <br />manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, biomedical <br />technologies, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, food processing, and other products with an <br />office located in Pleasanton. <br />6. Commercial Services – A representative from a business specializing in commercial <br />services with an office located in Pleasanton. <br />7. Professional Services - A representative from a business specializing in professional <br />services with an office located in Pleasanton. <br />SECTION 5. Members shall be appointed to the Committee in accordance with Resolution <br />No. 97-18, Resolution Establishing Procedures for Appointments to City Boards and <br />Commissions. <br />SECTION 6. The Committee shall hold regular meetings as follows: <br />a. The Committee shall meet every other month with the time, place and date set by the <br />Committee. <br />b. Special meetings may be called by the Committee chairperson or by any five members, <br />provided written notice is given twenty-hour hours in advance of the special meeting to the <br />following: each Committee member, local newspapers of general circulation, and to <br />anyone who has filed with the City Clerk or the Economic Development Division staff a <br />written request for notice. Notice of meetings shall comply in all respects with Section <br />54950 et. seq. of the Government Code, known commonly as the Ralph M. Brown Act. <br />c. All meetings shall be public; an agenda shall be prepared; action minutes of all meetings <br />shall be kept and filed by Economic Development Division staff. <br />SECTION 7. A simple majority of the current membership shall constitute a quorum. A <br />meeting at which a quorum is initially present may continue to transact business, notwithstanding <br />the withdrawal of members, if any action is approved by at least a majority of the required quorum. <br />A simple majority of the quorum shall be required to conduct business. <br />SECTION 8.
