Public Comment from the audience regarding items not listed on the agenda. <br /> <br />Chair Vickers opened public comment. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Chair Vickers closed the item for public comment. <br /> <br /> <br />MATTERS FOR THE COMMISSION’S REVIEW/ACTION/INFORMATION <br /> <br /> <br />4. Recommend City Council approve a multi-year agreement with Lifetime Tennis, Inc. <br />(DBA Lifetime Activities, Inc.) for bocce operations and maintenance at Centennial <br />Park for up to five years for an amount not to exceed $216,015.57 <br /> <br />Recommendation: Recommend City Council approve a multi-year agreement with Lifetime <br />Tennis, Inc (DBA Lifetime Activities, Inc.) for bocce operations and maintenance at <br />Centennial Park for up to five years for an amount not to exceed $216,015.57 <br /> <br />Heidi Murphy, Director of Library and Recreation, presented the item and answered <br />questions from commissioners. <br /> <br />Chair Vickers opened the item for public comment. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Chair Vickers closed the item for public comment. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was motioned by Deckert to recommend the City Council approve the contract <br />with Lifetime Activities for bocce services, reducing the contract to three years, with no <br />additional administrative extensions. The motion failed for lack of a second. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Vickers/Immadi for people involved in playing to have a lockbox, be <br />trained to maintain the courts properly, manage the league themselves, and then on a <br />monthly basis have City staff come through to maintain the courts. <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Immadi, Chair Vickers <br />Abstain: Commissioners Berberich, Rittmuller <br />Noes: Commissioner Deckert <br />Absent: Commissioner Brown <br /> <br />The motion was declared as not passing and a new motion was made. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Immadi/Rittmuller to recommend staff coordinate with the bocce <br />users to identify no to low-cost options to operate a bocce league and maintain the courts at
