<br />Page 3 of 11 <br />▪ On September 8, 2022, staff presented the public outreach results and BPTC <br />input to the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />▪ On February 7, 2023, the City Council directed staff to cease work on the <br />updated master plan and instead focus on making park improvements for the <br />budget currently available for the project – approximately $1.9 million <br />▪ In June 2023, staff began evaluating potential bandstand locations and park <br />improvements that could/should be made without encroaching on the regulatory <br />agencies’ jurisdiction while also addressing aging infrastructure challenges and <br />public comments received during the outreach, including replacing the bandstand <br />❖ On July 28, 2023, the City approved a task authorization with its on-call <br />landscape architecture consultant, Callander Associates, to provide preliminary <br />design options for the Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks renovations <br />❖ On September 1, the City’s on-call surveyor provided a topographic survey of <br />Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks <br />❖ On September 14, staff and their consultant presented two conceptual plans to <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission for review and a recommendation. The <br />Parks and Recreation Commission recommended Concept A and was fairly <br />evenly split between bandstand Option A and Option B <br />❖ In early October, staff sent out notifications to all occupants and property owners <br />within 1,000 feet of the parks regarding the Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks <br />agenda item on the upcoming City Council meeting agenda <br />❖ On October 17, staff presented the concepts to the City Council. The Council <br />directed staff to proceed with Concept A and bandstand Option B and approved <br />a contract with the consultant to complete construction documents for the project. <br />❖ On November 7, staff met on-site with the consultant to confirm project limits and <br />discuss refinements to the conceptual plan <br />❖ The design development documents are currently being prepared. <br /> <br /> <br />SKATEPARK <br />The city of Pleasanton prioritized a skatepark as part of th e Capital Improvement <br />Program process for FY 2019/20. <br /> <br />Project status: The construction document phase of the project is underway. <br /> <br />▪ The skatepark conceptual plan was finalized and presented to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission for approval on January 13, 2022. The Commission <br />approved the draft conceptual plan on a 4-2 vote <br />▪ On March 15, 2022, the skatepark conceptual plan was presented to the City <br />Council for review and approval. The City Council unanimously approved the <br />conceptual plan and directed staff to complete the design of the skatepark <br />through to biddable documents but also directed staff to consider value <br />engineering or other alternatives, such as phasing portions of the work, to reduce <br />anticipated costs <br />▪ On May 17, 2022, the City Council approved a contract amendment with the <br />design consultant, RRM Design, to complete the design of the skatepark with a
