Pleasanton Middle schools, Tri Valley Haven provides helpful presentations focusing on healthy <br />relationships, raising awareness and changing behavior. All materials are age appropriate. <br />Tri-Valley Haven Preventionist provide healthy relationship classes, including bystander education when it is <br />convenient for the middle school teachers, administrators and students. Currently, we have classes <br />scheduled for Pleasanton Middle School for Spring 2024. <br />Describe any significant actions taken during the reporting period. <br />Report 1 <br />Tri-Valley Haven schedules prevention presentations when it is convenient for the teachers and students <br />and when it will fit into the school’s curriculum. TVH collaborates with the teachers and counselors at <br />Pleasanton middle schools. As part of the presentation process, Pleasanton students take a post survey to <br />make sure they have learned strategies of when and how to effectively and safely intervene in situations <br />that are escalating and may become abusive. The post surveys are also used to assess the students’ level of <br />retention and their willingness to implement the strategies. All feedback is collected and utilized as an <br />assessment tool for quality assurance. <br />The Haven also provides students with additional take home resource materials to help ensure the <br />education and conversation can continue with their parents. In collaboration with the teachers, the students <br />are provided consistent messages regarding abuse prevention and creating healthy relationships. <br />If applicable, describe any modifications to the project goals, timelines, etc., and reason(s) for change.
