The park is 237 acres of natural open <br />space available to hikers and bikers. Access to the park is through a private development called Golden Eagle as <br />well as via the East Bay Regional Park District's Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park. The park has been designated <br />by Cal Fire as in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. In June 2022, approximately seventy acres of parkland <br />burned in the Canyon fire. Significant fuels built up in the park along trails and fire roads and there is no current <br />maintenance protocol for fuels reduction.
