Resolution No. PC-97-27
Page 2

limits of "acceptable risk" as addressed in the policies ofthe Public safety
Element of the Pleasanton General Plan.

However, the deformation could result in damage to structures, private streets, and
utilities. For this reason, prior to recordation of the final subdivision map for Lots
114 through 138, analysis shall be done to determine the amount of deformation
that would occur based upon a completely saturated slope-bank during a seismic
event. Based on this analysis, the buildings' foundations, private streets, and
utility lines located within the study area would be designed to withstand the
anticipated deformation and remain operational, or other bank stabilization
measures would be taken.

3. The design of the subdivision and proposed improvements will not cause
substantial environmental damage or substantially and avoidably injure fish or
wildlife or their habitat.

No construction would occur within the channel area ofthe Arroyo Mocho. The
site is an infill urban property which does not contain fish or wildlife which would
be damaged with development.

4. The design of the subdivision is not likely to cause serious public health
problems.

All improvements within the subdivision would be designed and built to City
standards for water, sewer, storm drainage, and access/circulation. As stated
above, geological issues related to the quarry bank have been investigated and
found to not result in public health or safety problems.

5. The design ofthe subdivision or its related improvements will not conflict
with easements, acquired by the public at large, for access through or use of
property within the proposed subdivision.

No existing easements would be affected by the proposal.

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed tentative map is
consistent with the approved PUD development plan.
