<br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />To share the story of the impact of Library and Recreation services in the community, <br />staff created a report that highlights milestones, events, programs, and statistics. In <br />previous years, staff brought this report to the five Library and Recreation commissions <br />for feedback and comments. <br /> <br />DISCUSSSION <br />Based upon feedback from the commissioners, the FY 2022/23 Annual Report <br />(Attachment 1) is structured around a Fiscal Year, features a new format, provides <br />additional data points and trends, and includes budget information. This new report <br />includes both quantitative and qualitative data to measure the complete impact of <br />departmental programs and services in the community. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />This action advances the following Citywide goals and strategies: <br /> <br />ONE Pleasanton Citywide Strategic Plan (Attachment 2) <br />• Building a Community Where Everyone Belongs, Strategy 3 – Implement high <br />priority items from the Library and Recreation Strategic Plan to continue to <br />deliver activities and programs that meet the needs and interests of the <br />community. <br />o Library and Recreation Strategic Plan (Attachment 3) <br />• Goal B.
