ayFNSA"Tom City Council Meeting - Submit
Submitted On:
your written public comment Nov 6, 2023, 12:44PM PST
R4 ea°r City of Pleasanton
'v[o
Full Name First Name: Peggy
Last Name: V\blf
Email (this entry is disclosable peggyLwolf@gmaii.com
if included)
City Council Meeting Date November 07, 2023
Agenda Item Number 16
Comments You have to be kidding on the "new" proposed water rate increases.
I thought the old ones you proposed were bad enough but they are
even worse (if that is even possible!). The proposed increases 30%
Jan 2024, followed by 20%Jan 2025 and 12%Jan 2026. Even though,
through your own admission, an official rate study has not been
done.
This goes along with your poor planning that voted to spend $10.5M
(from ARPA COVID relief funding) on refurbishing a skate park and
century house. Two new water wells outside of PFAS bloom need to
be established at a cost of at least 25 million. That 10.5 million
spent on pet projects could have paid for almost 1/2 of new wells.
Stop making your mismanagement the problem of the people of this
city.
