<br />9 | City of Pleasanton 2023-2031 Housing Element <br />new programs to address the Lower Income Housing Fund and Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance, <br />missing middle housing, and ADU streamlining, among others. <br />• Housing Commission: September 16, 2021 <br />• Planning Commission: September 22, 2021 <br />• City Council: October 19, 2021 <br />Initial Sites Introduction Meetings <br />The initial sites introduction meetings provided an analysis of the existing zoning capacity and an <br />evaluation of the RHNA shortfall. A preliminary list of sites for rezoning (ranked and scored) was <br />presented for consideration, with 28 preliminary sites for rezoning identified throughout the city <br />for discussion. <br />• Planning Commission: November 10, 2021 <br />• Housing Commission: November 18, 2021 <br />Sites Inventory Meetings <br />The sites inventory meetings followed the initial sites introduction meetings to review and approve <br />potential sites to be considered for future rezoning for residential development and inclusion in <br />the CEQA environmental analysis. Specifically, the discussion centered on identifying new sites <br />sufficient to accommodate the RHNA shortfall. <br />• Community Meeting: December 1, 2021 <br />• Planning Commission: December 15, 2021 <br />• City Council: January 18, 2022, February 1, 2022, and February 8, 2022 <br />Housing Policy/Program Items Meetings <br />The housing policy meetings provided opportunities to discuss housing policy topics such as the <br />Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance, Lower Income Housing Fund, workforce housing, affordability by <br />design, and other existing or potential housing programs. <br />• Planning Commission: February 9, 2022 and February 23, 2022 <br />• Housing Commission: February 28, 2022 <br />• City Council: March 15, 2022 <br />Draft Housing Element Meetings <br />The Draft Housing Element meetings provided opportunities for both the public and <br />elected/appointed officials to learn about, review, and comment on the Public Review Draft <br />Housing Element. The presentations for these meetings in large part focused on sites and <br />implementation programs, and discussed comments received thus far.
