CITY OF PLEASANTON 5 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN FY 2023-2024 – FY 2027-28 <br />Pleasanton’s first citywide Strategic Plan, “ONE Pleasanton,” is the culmination of an intensive months-long <br />collaboration that brought the City Council and City staff together with hundreds of members of Pleasanton’s <br />diverse community to create a shared vision for the city’s future . <br />This Strategic Plan sets a progressive path for Pleasanton for the next five years, from 2023 through 2028 . The <br />plan will be integrated with the City’s annual budget development, the capital project planning process, and other <br />plans and programs to align strategies with resources to deliver successful outcomes . This Strategic Plan serves as a <br />roadmap, reflecting City Council policy direction to achieve five key goals: <br />• Funding Our Future: Fiscal Sustainability <br />• Optimizing Our Organization: Organizational Effectiveness <br />• Investing in Our Environment: Infrastructure, Public Facilities, and Sustainability <br />• Safeguarding Our City: Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness <br />• Building a Community Where Everyone Belongs: Livability and Community Development <br />Inclusive engagement was critical to ensure that this Strategic Plan represents the diverse perspectives of Pleasanton <br />today . Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their valuable input and ideas through focus groups, <br />pop-up events, surveys, questionnaires, meetings, workshops, and a community open house . Your participation was <br />essential in shaping the goals and strategies outlined in this plan . <br />Through the implementation of this Strategic Plan, the City will continue to strengthen the relationship between the <br />city organization and our many community members and partners to build a resilient, vibrant community where <br />everyone belongs .
