<br /> VA. In exchange for services, the VA would pay a base annual amount of$764,244 in
<br /> the first year, with an annual escalation of five percent each extension year, of which the
<br /> City of Pleasanton will receive 50 percent, or $382,122. This reduction from the
<br /> previous total annual contract amount of $1,175,506, referenced above, is due to a
<br /> reduction in the total number of calls to the VAMC facility.
<br /> The proposed new revenue sharing agreement extends the arrangement of the 2018
<br /> agreement, in which the full cost of the additional fourth firefighter per shift (3.0 FTEs),
<br /> $702,000 in the first year, is attributed 100 percent to Livermore, with Livermore's
<br /> revenue sharing portion adjusted to include those costs. If, after reviewing the LPFD
<br /> JPA cost sharing arrangement over the next fiscal year the Cities of Pleasanton and
<br /> Livermore determine that this arrangement should be streamlined or adjusted, the new
<br /> revenue sharing agreement also includes a provision allowing the parties to modify or
<br /> terminate the agreement by mutual, written consent after one year. A breakdown of
<br /> revenue for each city under the new agreement is provided below:
