For our residence, 2 of us are both jointly shown as separate rate payers on our account. Since we each pay, we will
each be filing a formal protest of the confusing proposed water rate increase.
2. For CRHOA where we have 39 mostly low-mid income and/or fixed income seniors ($48 avg per month in 2022)
indirectly paying their water bills through the HOA, I calculated assuming the proposed increases:
$48/mo ($576/yr) *30% increase = $62/mo ($749/yr) for 2024, *20%= $75/mo ($898/yr) for 2025, *12% = $84/mo
($1005/yr) for 2026. Due to the power of compounding 3 proposed rate increases from 2023 to 2026 = 75%
increase. Our PUD-Owners simply cannot afford to pay this added burden to their current$515 HOA dues that
include numerous City-shirking services including streets, sidewalks, street lights and power, backflow water
'^ prevention, etc.
As such, I will each be filing a formal protest on behalf of our 39 properties (representing up to 78 voter/owners) the
confusing proposed water rate increase.
