City of Pleasanton <br /> PLE ASANTON. Emergency Operations Plan <br /> emergency services communications personnel. The CSWC provides service to all <br /> California law enforcement agencies and their officers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. <br /> Additionally, the CSWC will provide the means by which fire service agencies can <br /> communicate intelligence information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The following <br /> is a list of current functions and responsibilities of the CSWC: <br /> • Facilitates multi-regional and statewide AMBER Alerts <br /> • Carries out critical incident notifications,warnings, and tactical alerts to all involved <br /> agencies and organizations <br /> • Conducts computer crime incident notifications <br /> • Conducts homeland security incident notifications <br /> • Conducts hazardous material notifications <br /> • Monitors natural disasters and coordinates emergency response <br /> • Monitors and maintains state and national emergency response communications <br /> • Conducts Governor and executive staff notifications <br /> • Facilitates toxic call-outs (drug labs) <br /> 3.13.7 CalEOC <br /> CalEOC is the state's version of WebEOC®. CalEOC is an internet-based platform allowing <br /> for secure and real-time sharing of information related to management of emergencies <br /> among emergency management personnel, first responder agencies and cooperating <br /> organizations. CalEOC provides real-time information sharing to authorized users through <br /> the Internet. The information is universally available to all authorized users <br /> simultaneously. Currently the permitted users are limited to counties and operational <br /> areas. The City of Pleasanton will provide situation status and requests for assistance to the <br /> Alameda OA EOC,which will be forwarded to the Cal OES REOC via CaIEOC. <br /> 3.13.8 Emergency Digital Information System <br /> The Emergency Digital Information Service (EDIS) delivers official information about <br /> emergencies and disasters to the public and the news media in California. California <br /> emergency bulletins posted to EDIS are available by email and pager from various <br /> providers. EDIS has been in operation since 1990,and was upgraded to add image and <br /> sound capabilities and advanced satellite data cast technology for reliable statewide service <br /> in 1999. People and businesses can receive EDIS messages via their e-mail,wireless cell <br /> phone, or pager by registering on the EDIS webpage at http://edis.oes.ca.gov/. <br /> 3.13.9 Operational Area Satellite Information System <br /> The Operational Area Satellite Information System (OASIS) is a system that consists of a <br /> communications satellite, multiple remote sites,and a hub that allows virtually <br /> uninterruptable communication between state,regional, and operational area level EOC's. <br /> The system,which uses technology similar to cellular telephones,has 60 channels.When a <br /> user picks up the line, the system automatically searches for the best available channel and <br /> is capable of conducting six simultaneous voice conversations and one data channel at a <br /> rate of 9600 baud. <br /> March 2018 81 Basic Plan <br /> Section 3.0 Concept of Operations <br />
