switches, alarms, and a diagnostic panel. The function of the instrument panel controls and <br />switches will be identified by a label adjacent to each item. Actuation of the headlight switch will <br />illuminate the labels in low light conditions. Telltale indicator lamps will not be illuminated unless <br />necessary. The cab instruments and controls will be conveniently located within the forward cab <br />section, forward of the driver. The gauge assembly and switch panels are designed to be <br />removable for ease of service and low cost of ownership. <br />Gauges <br />The gauge panel will include the following ten (10) black faced gauges with black bezels to <br />monitor vehicle performance: <br />Voltmeter gauge (volts): <br />Low volts (11.8 VDC) <br />Amber caution indicator on the information center with intermittent alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />High volts (15.5 VDC) <br />Amber caution indicator on the information center with intermittent alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Very low volts (11.3 VDC) <br />Red warning indicator on the information center with a steady alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Very high volts (16.0 VDC) <br />Red warning indicator on the information center with a steady alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Engine Tachometer (RPM) <br />Speedometer MPH (Major Scale), KM/H (Minor Scale) <br />Fuel level gauge (Empty - Full in fractions): <br />Low fuel (1/8 full) <br />Amber caution indicator on the information center with intermittent alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Very low fuel (1/32 full) <br />Red caution indicator on the information center with steady alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Engine Oil pressure Gauge (PSI): <br />Low oil pressure to activate engine warning lights and alarms <br />Red caution indicator on the information center with steady alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Front Air Pressure Gauges (PSI): <br />Low air pressure to activate warning lights and alarm <br />Red warning indicator on the information center with a steady alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Rear Air Pressure Gauges (PSI): <br />Low air pressure to activate warning lights and alarm <br />Red warning indicator on the information center with a steady alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Transmission Oil Temperature Gauge (Fahrenheit): <br />High transmission oil temperature activates warning lights and alarm <br />Amber caution indicator on the information center with intermittent alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge (Fahrenheit): <br />High engine temperature activates an engine warning light and alarms <br />Amber caution indicator on the information center with intermittent alarm <br />Amber caution light on gauge assembly <br />Diesel Exhaust Fluid Level Gauge (Empty - Full in fractions): <br />Low fluid (1/8 full) <br />Amber indicator light in gauge dial <br />All gauges will perform prove out at initial power-up to ensure proper performance. <br />Indicator Lamps <br />To promote safety, the following telltale indicator lamps will be located on the instrument panel in <br />clear view of the driver. The indicator lamps will be "dead-front" design that is only visible when <br />active. The colored indicator lights will have descriptive text or symbols. <br />The following amber telltale lamps will be present: <br />Low coolant <br />Trac cntl (traction control) (where applicable) <br />Check engine <br />Check trans (check transmission <br />Aux brake overheat (Auxiliary brake overheat <br />Air rest (air restriction) <br />Caution (triangle symbol) <br />Water in fuel <br />DPF (engine diesel particulate filter regeneration) <br />Trailer ABS (where applicable) <br />Wait to start (where applicable) <br />HET (engine high exhaust temperature) (where applicable) <br />ABS (antilock brake system) <br />MIL (engine emissions system malfunction indicator lamp) (where applicable) <br />Side roll fault (where applicable) <br />Front air bag fault (where applicable) <br />The following red telltale lamps will be present: <br />Warning (stop sign symbol) <br />Seat belt <br />Parking brake <br />Stop engine <br />Rack down <br />The following green telltale lamps will be provided: <br />Left turn <br />Right turn <br />Battery on <br />The following blue telltale lamp will be provided: <br />High beam <br />20717Bid #:
