2 <br /> THE CITY OF ON <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON-, <br /> September 5, 2023 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVE DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATES FOR 2023 <br /> CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The League of California Cities (CalCities) 2023 Annual Conference & Expo is <br /> scheduled for September 20-22 in Sacramento. An important part of this conference is <br /> the convening of the General Assembly. At this meeting, the CalCities membership <br /> considers and acts on resolutions that establish policy. To vote on the proposed <br /> resolutions, the City Council must designate a voting delegate and alternate in advance <br /> of the conference. <br /> Councilmember Valerie Arkin and Councilmember Julie Testa are both registered to <br /> attend the conference. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Designate Councilmember Valerie Arkin as the City's voting delegate and <br /> Councilmember Julie Testa as the alternate for the 2023 CalCities conference. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact associated with this action. <br /> Submitted by: Approved by: <br /> j - /I �, <br /> J elynGerry Beaudin <br /> City Clerk lo City Manager <br />
