During this report, staff requested input from the <br />comrnission. <br />The Civic Arts Commission strongly recomrnends the following input on the Strategic Plan: <br />. The City should explore and implement a public afi fee (also known as a percent-for art <br />ordinance) to ensure fiscal sustainability of the vibrant public art program applicable to both <br />pubtic and private developtnent projects as stated in the 2014 Cultural Plan . Goal 4. Stlateqv <br />LL "Most public art programs depend on the percent-for-art rnechanisrn'to provide the <br />resources needed for irnplernentation of the prograrns." <br />o The Pleasanton General Plan's Public Facilities and Community Program Element <br />includes a relevant Program l5.l: "Review and update as appropriate the Arts in Public <br />Places Ordinance."
