From REACH's early beginnings, the goal has <br />been to create inclusive communities and affordable housing for this population. REACH successfully continues to meet and <br />exceed that goal with ongoing care and adaptability for the tenants and routine maintenance, rehabilitation and home improvement <br />projects for the properties. <br />Report 2 <br />Within Pleasanton, the extremely limited availability of affordable housing for the population REACH serves, which is adults with <br />developmental and intellectual disabilities, housing continues to be a critical need. Describe how the project/program is addressing the critical human services needs in the "City of Pleasanton Human <br />Services Strategic Plan Needs Assessment Update 2018-2022". <br />Report 1 <br />As noted in previous year's application, one of the critical and systemic challenges from the City of Pleasanton Human Services <br />Strategic Plan Needs Assessment Update 2018-2022, is education and access to information. This critical and systemic challenge <br />continues today. <br />REACH regularly collaborates and coordinates with other organizations that provide services to adults with developmental <br />disabilities such as the Cityof Pleasanton's IDD Networking Group, PUSD's transition program and other community service <br />providers. REACH updates its website and social media on a regular basis, informing those we serve and others of upcoming <br />events, new resources that are available and much more. Describe how the project/program is addressing the "Strategic Goals" and "Priority Needs" identified in the "City of <br />Pleasanton U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) FY 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan". <br />Report 1 <br />REACH identified five strategic goals relating to our program and continues to address them: <br />1. Affordable rental housing for the extremely low income - 30% BMI <br />2. Preservation of single family homes for the low income through rehabilitation and minor home repair <br />3. Preservation of rental housing through home repair <br />4. Reduce housing discrimination through provision of fair housing and landlord/tenant services <br />5 Reduce housing discrimination through provision of fair housing and landlord/tenant services
