I" ;;;;; CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> [SLEASANTON <br /> August 15, 2023 <br /> Public Works <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH VISTA UNIVERSAL INC., <br /> FOR MAINTENANCE OF CITYWIDE STREETLIGHTS, PATHWAY, AND <br /> PARKING LOT LIGHTS FOR A TERM OF THREE YEARS IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $900,000 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City is responsible for the maintenance of over 8,895 street, pathway, and parking <br /> lot lights. The current agreement for the City's streetlights, pathway, and parking lot <br /> lights, night checks of arterial roadways, replacement of photocells or fixtures, ultrasonic <br /> pole testing, pole painting, and emergency response for pole knockdowns expires on <br /> August 31, 2023. Through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process, Vista Universal Inc., <br /> was selected as the most responsive bidder in fulfilling the City's requirements in <br /> compliance with the terms and conditions outlined in the RFP. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Vista Universal <br /> Inc., starting September 1, 2023, in an amount not-to-exceed $900,000 for the three- <br /> year term with the option of extending the agreement for two additional one-year terms <br /> (with a maximum of five years) with allowable cost increases based upon the local <br /> Consumer Price Index (CPI). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this agreement is allocated annually in the General Fund-Streets and Traffic <br /> Maintenance Operations (00140201), Internal Service Fund-Streetlight Replacement <br /> (51940135), and Special Fund-Hacienda Business Park Owners Association <br /> (12840103). <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
