ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND <br /> THE PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> RELATED TO THE PROVISION OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT <br /> THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ("MOU") is entered into this <br /> day of 2023, between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation <br /> ("City"), and the PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT("District"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1. The District has an interest in conducting District academic support in which the <br /> District utilizes the City of Pleasanton's Library ("Library") facilities to implement academic <br /> support to the District's students; <br /> 2. District has an interest in collecting attendance data for pupils who participate in <br /> after-school academic support provided by the District; and <br /> 3. It is understood between the District and City that the District is solely <br /> responsible for the proper collection and retention of its students' attendance data and that the <br /> City does not have an interest in either the collection or retention of data from District's students. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,the parties agree as follows: <br /> I. OBLIGATIONS OF DISTRICT <br /> A. District will provide adequate staffing sufficient to conduct the District's <br /> academic support program and supervise student conduct, including during City-run recreational <br /> activities as described in Section II.B. <br /> B. District will, except for those days when school is not in session, provide <br /> academic support at the Library from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, or as close to this time as reasonable, <br /> for regular school days; and from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, or as close to this time as reasonable, for <br /> shortened school days. District will promptly notify the Library in the event that it becomes <br /> known to District that District will be unable to provide academic support, or if support is <br /> expected to be delayed, for the respective school day, by contacting the Library's representative <br /> designated in Section II.C. <br /> C. For purposes of coordinating with Library the District's day-to-day use of <br /> the Library facilities, District has designated the following staff contact: Director of Educational <br /> Options, at 925-200-5577. <br /> 1 <br />
