RESOLUTION NO. 23-1410 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br /> THE FEE POLICY BY ADDING AN UPDATED RECREATION FEE ASSISTANCE <br /> PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton strives to provide diverse, equitable, and inclusive <br /> opportunities for all members of the community to access services and participate in programs; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 21, 2022, the City Council amended the Pleasanton Fee Policy <br /> (Resolution 92-99) by adopting a new cost-recovery model for Recreation Fees (Resolution 22- <br /> 1316); and <br /> WHEREAS, there is a need to expand, change and codify the existing Fee Assistance <br /> Program to better serve the community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> Section E of the Pleasanton Fee Policy (Resolution 92-99) is amended to add a new <br /> subsection F to read as follows: <br /> F. Recreation Fee Assistance Program. <br /> Eligibility requirements for applicants: <br /> • Must provide proof of Pleasanton residency, living within Pleasanton's <br /> city limits (i.e., PG&E bill, water or garbage bill, rental agreement, etc.) <br /> • Must provide proof of additional assistance (i.e., school-lunch program <br /> letter, CalFresh, CARE Credit, FERA Program, CA Life-Line Program, <br /> California Head Start Letter, Medi-Cal eligibility letter, Social Security <br /> Statement with a Bank Statement, etc.). <br /> City will provide eligible applicants a subsidy of 90% of program cost. <br /> The maximum subsidy shall not exceed $300 per eligible applicant per fiscal year. This <br /> amount shall be adjusted annually based on the change in the consumer price index for <br /> the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose metropolitan area (all items indexed; all urban <br /> consumers.) <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a special meeting held on July 18, 2023. <br /> {Vote and signatures to follow on next page} <br />
