Alternative 1: This alternative would raise the 35-gallon cart rate to Dublin's new
rate $26.06, which is scheduled to become effective on July 1, 2018. This would
decrease the difference between the City's 96-gallon and 35-gallon cart rates and
reduce the incentive to migrate to the smaller cart. It would also retain Pleasanton's
position of matching the lowest rate amongst our neighboring cities for the 35-gallon
cart service. If the City Council chooses this alternative, staff would bring back
proposals to the City Council with what to do with the increase revenue resulting
from this change at a future meeting.
Alternative 2: PGS has proposed that the 35-gallon rate be raised to the average
of the new Dublin rate ($26.06) and the new Livermore rate ($38.42), which would
be $32.24. If the City Council chooses this alternative, staff would bring back
proposals to the City Council with what to do with the increase revenue resulting
from this change at a future meeting.
Submitted by: Fi cal Review: Approved by:
r
Brian olan Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Assistant City Manager Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
