The Livermore/Pleasanton Liaison Committee meets quarterly, with two councilmembers from each agency. A standing item on the meeting's agenda is an update on the LVK. The next meeting of the committee is scheduled for June 27, 2023, and will be hosted by the City of Livermore. The collaboration between both cities is intended to minimize airport impacts on the Tri-Valley community and to improve sharing of information between the cities and their residents. The City of Pleasanton has no authority or purview over the LVK, its operations and future development. The City of Livermore Airport Commission and Livermore City Council are the decision makers and must comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations. The City acknowledges the feedback provided by Pleasanton residents regarding impacts the LVK has on their residence and on the community broadly, and encourages residents of all Tri- Valley cities to engage regularly with the LVK's airport management, the Livermore Airport Commission and the Livermore City Council to express concerns and seek solutions. As well, Pleasanton City Council members and staff continuously advocate on behalf of Pleasanton residents regarding the LVK. In this regard, our City's website has been updated with current information and provides topical information links to the City of Livermore Airport web page (https://www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/qov/hottopics/livermore airport project.asp). Airport Leasing and Development Policy In March 2023 a presentation was made to the Livermore Airport Commission presenting a summary of key elements of the proposed policy. The draft policy was made available for public comment from March 6 to April 24, 2023. On March 30, a presentation was made to the Livermore/Pleasanton City Council Liaison Committee and feedback was provided by Mayor Brown, Councilmember Arkin, and City staff. In addition, Pleasanton provided written comments regarding the draft policy (Exhibit C). Currently, City of Livermore staff is reviewing and incorporating relevant comments into the policy, and will present a final version for consideration to the upcoming Livermore Airport Commission meeting, which is scheduled for: Monday, June 5, 2023 6:00 pm: Livermore Civic Center Meeting Hall — William H. Mendenhall Community Room 1016 S Livermore Avenue From there, the project schedule shows that the final policy will be presented to the Livermore City Council for consideration and possible adoption on June 26, 2023. Once the final policy has been made public, City of Pleasanton staff will review and provide any additional comment to the Livermore Airport Commission and/or the Livermore City Council.
