2. Adopt the modifications to Objective Design Standards for Housing Sites as enclosed with <br /> Attachment 1 to this agenda report with modifications as outlined in this agenda report; and <br /> 3. Provide the Director of Community Development the authority to make minor changes to the <br /> ODS after adoption, for reasons such as formatting, grammar, references, adding additional <br /> diagrams, etc. <br /> Associate Planner Shweta Bonn, Director Ellen Clark, and Rick Williams and Andrew Faulkner <br /> (Van Meter Williams Pollack), presented the item. <br /> Mayor Brown opened the public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed the <br /> public comment. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Balch/Arkin to approve the objective design standards as recommended <br /> with the addition of allowing single doors for thirty percent of the unit count. Motion passed by the <br /> following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> 14. Review and consider the City's legislative framework with the 2023 focus areas and establish the <br /> City's legislative positions on selected bills, and request City staff to monitor remaining legislation <br /> throughout the 2023 legislative session <br /> Recommendation: The City Council Legislative Subcommittee and staff recommend adoption of <br /> the City's Legislative Framework with the 2023 Focus Areas and to establish the City's legislative <br /> positions on selected 2023 bills, and request that staff monitor remaining legislation throughout <br /> the 2023 legislative session. <br /> Assistant to the City Manager Becky Hopkins, Director Ellen Clark, and Andres Ramirez with <br /> Townsend Public Affairs presented the item and responded to questions. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Nibert/Balch to approve the item as recommended with the modification <br /> to remove AB 510. and change AB 1532, SB 405, and AB 52 to "watch" status. Motion passed by <br /> the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> By majority consensus. Councilmember Testa requested a resolution be brought at the next Council <br /> meeting in support of Our Neighborhood Voices. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS — Councilmembers reported on regional and local agency meetings attended. <br /> ADJOURNMENT — Mayor Brown adjourned the meeting at 11:42 p.m. <br /> Jocelyn Kwong.
