Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Board President Steve Maher called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. from the <br /> Pleasanton Unified School District Board Room located at 4665 Bernal Avenue and <br /> provided opening remarks noting that Mayor Karla Brown will chair the meeting. <br /> Board President Steve Maher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Roll Call <br /> Members present <br /> Pleasanton City Councilmembers: Valerie Arkin, Jack Balch, Jeff Nibert, Julie <br /> Testa, Mayor Karla Brown <br /> Pleasanton Unified School District Trustees: Justin Brown, Mary Jo Carreon, Kelly <br /> Mokashi, Laurie Walker, Annabelle Kim, Board President Steve Maher <br /> 3. Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed <br /> public comment. <br /> 4. Presentation regarding Youth in Government Day 2023 (City/PUSD) <br /> Lia Bushong introduced Zaynah Shah, chair of Youth Commission, to provide <br /> presentation. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers. Mayor Brown closed <br /> public comment. <br /> 5. Presentation on student safety and behavioral support efforts <br /> a. Student School Site Safety (PUSD) <br /> b. Student Supports for addressing behavioral concerns (PUSD/City) <br /> Ed Diolazo, Deputy Superintendent, and Lia Bushong, Assistant Director of Library and <br /> Recreation, presented item 5a. <br /> Leslie Heller, Director of Student Services, presented item 5b. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment.
