All resident's savings go directly into City Water Dept's pockets • Rate increase is NOT for additional water used (over our baseline of 2020 or 2015) to promote water savings • Variable Water Rate increase is—300% and across the board for ALL water use. • It feels like a massive money grab under the guise of conservation • If you "conserve" down to nothing and use only 1ccf or 10 ccf you STILL pay$0.65 or$6.50 more for the same little water you use. • All our residents 15% savings of water, that they do not pay Zone 7's (at their 10X rate of $3.61/ccf) appear to be diverted into Pleasanton Water Dept pockets • This is being done by shoring up the bill,to have residents"pay the same bill amount" • Engineered via the 65-300%variable rate drought charge increase • "No increase"message, but you are forced to"pay the same Bill amount'(this time to Pleasanton),despite not using/getting any of the above fictional water • We will charge you for the soda and fries(which you do not get-because it is healthy for you).
