51 City of Pleasanton Capital Improvement Program • FY 2023/24 - FY 2026/27 <br />The life expectancy of an asphalt court, which is the <br />type of surface on the majority of the courts owned <br />by the City, is 10 - 12 years. Over time, the courts <br />have deteriorated and the basketball and tennis <br />courts have significant cracks, uneven surfaces, <br />alligatoring and/or crumbling asphalt, and worn <br />and peeling acrylic paint. New acrylic paint and <br />striping is required every 5 - 7 years. <br />Annual Court Resurfacing <br />Project Number: 24744 <br />Parks <br />This project involves resurfacing or replacing the pave- <br />ment sections of various tennis and basketball courts <br />in City-owned parks.
