49 City of Pleasanton Capital Improvement Program • FY 2023/24 - FY 2026/27 <br />The project was identified as a City Council priority <br />and has substantial support from the community. <br />Council directed staff to proceed with the project <br />at the March 15, 2022, City Council meeting, but to <br />pursue value engineering and potential phasing <br />opportunities. The budget is reflective of the value <br />engineered design. <br />Skatepark <br />Project Number: 20774 <br />Parks <br />This project involves the replacement and expansion of <br />the existing 8,000-square-foot skatepark at Ken Mer- <br />cer Sports Park. The expanded skatepark will be ap- <br />proximately one-acre in size, include a combination of <br />street and flow features, and will have separate areas <br />for beginner, intermediate, and advanced skaters.
