1024 Serpentine Ln #101 <br />Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br /> <br />Date: March 2, 2023 <br />Business License Division, City of Pleasanton <br />200 Old Bernal Ave, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br /> <br /> Land Chess, Inc. <br />To Whom it May Concern, <br />The purpose of this letter is to provide information of the functionalities and background pertinent to <br />. chess club <br />focuses on improving youth chess development, founded by Coach Kiki in 2012. KLC offers eight levels of <br />group lessons from New Beginner to National Master Level for 5 - 15 years old youth players, also the <br />small group class, Intensive Training Camps, and Rated Tournaments. Over the past ten years, KLC has <br />trained thousands of young chess players and won many champions in world, national and state <br />tournaments. In 2022, ten KLC students were invited to be the official US Representatives at 2022 World <br />Youth/Cadets Championships. You can find more information on KLC website, www.kingslandchess.com. <br />Group Lesson. KLC regular group lessons are 45-75 mins per plays/lessons. Wednesday to Friday classes <br />have about 8-16 players/class. Saturday and Sunday classes have about 16-24 players/class. KLC has 3 <br />permanent employees, two main coaches and one assistant coach. At least 2 coaches will be on- site <br />during each class and events. The restrooms are in the indoor hallway, about 40 <br />door. There always have one coach walk students to the restroom and walk them back. <br />Summer Camps. During summer and winter breaks, KLC will offer camps for youth chess players. Camps <br />are Monday - Thursday/Friday, 9:00 - 5:00, could be morning, afternoon or whole day session, 12-24 <br />players each camp. As there are two separate rooms/units in #101, we would offer two camps at the <br />same time in some weeks. Together there would be 24-40 players. <br />camp, and there will be one more assistant. When we have two camps going on the same time. There <br />will be another main Coach for that camp, and maybe an assistant coach as well, it will base on the <br />players number. So when we have two camps, we will have at least 3 coaches and 1 assistant in the club, <br />as we maintain the coach to student ration 1:12. <br />Chess Tournaments. KLC is US Chess Federation registered affiliate. We will organize USCF official rated <br />chess tournaments for youth players. There are 40-60 players in <br />on a Friday night 5:30 - 8:30pm. In the future, we may offer two tournaments in a month. There will be <br />tournament directors and coaches on-site during the tournaments. <br />ollow US <br />Chess Federation Rules, usually one tournament director can handle 50 players.
