ORDINANCE NO. 2246 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2238 TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON POLICE DEPARTMENT'S MILITARY EQUIPMENT USE POLICY TO ADD EQUIPMENT TO THE POLICY'S MILITARY EQUIPMENT INVENTORY WHEREAS, on July 19, 2022, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2238 approving the Pleasanton Police Department's Military Equipment Use Policy; and WHEREAS, the Military Equipment Use Policy was amended on October 18, 2022 by Ordinance No. 2240 to add a Command Vehicle to the Policy's military equipment inventory; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the Military Equipment Use Policy to add additional equipment to the Policy's military equipment inventory. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Amendment. Ordinance No. 2238 is amended to add the equipment described in Exhibit "A" to the Military Equipment Use Policy's military equipment inventory. SECTION 2. Severability. If any part of this ordinance is declared invalid by a court, such invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining parts. SECTION 3. Publication. This ordinance, or a summary prepared by the City Attorney, shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation of the City of Pleasanton within fifteen days after its adoption. SECTION 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after its adoption.
