<br /> II. CALGreen': The California Green Building Standards Code(CALGreen Code), applicable to
<br /> new commercial and industrial buildings, is designed to promote "environmentally responsible,
<br /> cost-effective, healthier places to live and world'. "CALGreen includes both required measures
<br /> and voluntary measures, a number of which help assure healthful indoor air quality, such as
<br /> those addressing chemical emissions from composite wood products, carpets, resilient flooring
<br /> materials,paints, adhesives, sealants,and insulation, and also ventilation."
<br /> III. CARE ATCM (Airborne Toxic Control Measure to Reduce Formaldehyde Emissions from
<br /> Composite Wood Products) 5: The purpose of this airborne toxic control measure is to "reduce
<br /> Formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products, and finished goods that contain
<br /> composite wood products, that are sold, offered for sale, supplied, used, or manufactured for
<br /> sale in California. The composite wood products covered by this regulation are hardwood
<br /> plywood, particleboard,and medium density fiberboard."The measure applies to
<br /> manufacturers, distributors, importers, fabricators (that use such materials to make other
<br /> goods), retailers,third party certifiers who manufacture, offer for sale or supply these goods in
<br /> California.The control measure assures that all building materials and furnishings
<br /> manufactured, distributed, imported and used in new construction in California meet the
<br /> maximum allowable concentrations that assure healthful indoor air quality.
<br /> IV. Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 9.165: all hazardous materials and hazardous waste
<br /> programs within the city are covered under SB 1082. These programs include: hazardous
<br /> materials release response plans and inventory, also known as hazardous materials business
<br /> or management plans (Chapter 6.95 of Division 20 of the Health and Safety Code); California
<br /> accidental release prevention program (Chapter 6.95 of the Health and Safety Code);
<br /> underground storage tanks (Chapter 6.7 of the Health and Safety Code), aboveground storage
<br /> tanks (Chapter 6.67 of the Health and Safety Code); and hazardous waste generator and on-
<br /> site treatment.
<br /> V. ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2022, Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality 7, applicable to
<br /> new and existing buildings, that set up ventilation standard to "provide indoor air quality (TAQ)
<br /> that is acceptable to human occupants and that minimizes adverse health effects".
<br /> VI. 29 CFR Part 1910.10488 and Cal/OSHA Title 89: The Occupational Safety and Health
<br /> Administration (OSHA) has developed federal standards on occupational formaldehyde
<br /> exposure limits to protect construction workers.The Cal/OSHA Title 8 Regulations have
<br /> adopted the same occupational formaldehyde standards for workers in California. The
<br /> standards require employers to assure that"no employee is exposed to an airborne
<br /> concentration of formaldehyde which exceeds 0.75 parts formaldehyde per million parts of air
<br /> (0.75 ppm) as an 8-hour TWA" and "no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of
