Housing Grants
In past years, the City has utilized its LIHF funds to supplement limited CDBG program
funding for important housing-related services. Federal HOME funds received through the
Alameda County HOME Consortium have also historically been appropriated through the
HHSG Process.
The City received eight applications, totaling $510,348. Housing services applications
were reviewed by the Housing Commission at its March 16, 2023, meeting (Attachment 3),
and the Commission's recommendations are summarized in Table 4 resulting in the
recommended allocation of$132,655 in HOME funds (includes $7,655 for Administration)
and $354,348 in LIHF funds for FY 2023/24.
Per the Housing Commission recommendation, Goodness Village is recommended to
receive its full funding request of$57,720, rather than the original staff recommendation
of$40,000. The Commission expressed its desire for the City to support the 24-hour
services provided to the seven Pleasanton residents at the Goodness Village tiny homes
community, at the full funding request.
