Attachment 5 <br /> Chair Shah closed the meeting for public comment from agency representatives at 6:47 p.m. <br /> and requested commissioners consider each of the grant fund applications in the youth category <br /> and make their funding recommendations. <br /> Commissioners discussed each of the funding requests individually, commenting on allowable <br /> funding amounts, unallocated grant funds, and the need for better marketing of the community <br /> grant fund program. Following discussions an agreement was reached on all funding allocations <br /> and commissioners commented on the lack of an agency representative at this meeting from <br /> Teen Esteem. <br /> Motion: It was m/s by Sriram/Prakash recommending the following community grant funding in <br /> the youth category for fiscal year 2023/24: <br /> $ 7,500 - Go Green Initiative Associate / Student Led Programs for Environmental Outcomes <br /> $ 5,000 - Partners Fore Golf Inc. / The First Tee Tri-Valley STEM Golf Camp <br /> $ 5,000 - Pleasanton Partners in Education (PPIE) — PPIE STEAM Grants Initiative <br /> $ 7,500 - Teen Esteem / 2023-24 PUSD Elementary/Middle/High School Presentations <br /> $ 7,500 - Tri-Valley Haven / Healthy Relationship & Affirmative Consent Presentation/gth grade <br /> 7,500 - Tri-Valley Haven / Healthy Relationship & Boundaries Presentation/7th grade <br /> $40,000 -TOTAL <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Commissioners Chew, Jadhav, Lam, Madanhavi, Pohray, Prakash, Saxena, Shah, <br /> Shannon, Sriram, and Chair Shah. <br /> Notes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Motion: It was m/s by Sriram/Prakash that because a representative for Teen Esteem did not <br /> attend this mandatory community grant funding meeting and the commission would like for the <br /> agency to receive full funding, that it is suggested that a representative attend the City Council <br /> meeting when community grant funding in the youth category for 2023/24 are to be approved. <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Commissioners Chew, Jadhav, Lam, Madanhavi, Pohray, Prakash, Saxena, Shah, <br /> Shannon, Sriram, and Chair Shah. <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> COMMISSION REPORTS <br /> 5.
