Stage 2 drought rates concurrent with Zone 7's Board of Directors' approval to end its <br /> drought emergency and mandatory conservation. <br /> Concurrent with approval by the Zone 7 Board of Directors to terminate its drought <br /> emergency and mandatory conservation, staff recommends the City Council adopt a <br /> resolution to rescind: <br /> • Ordinance No. 2225 declaring a Local Drought Emergency <br /> • Resolution No. 21-1250 declaring a Stage 2 water shortage and mandating that <br /> Pleasanton water customers reduce their potable water usage by 15 percent <br /> • Resolution No. 22-1283 activating Stage 2 drought rates. <br /> Of importance, while staff is recommending ending the City's local drought emergency, <br /> the Stage 2 water shortage, and the Stage 2 drought rates, continued 15 percent water <br /> conservation will be necessary to reduce summer peak water demand because of water <br /> distribution capacity limitations related to the city's groundwater wells not being in <br /> operation due to PFAS related health-advisory level concentrations. <br /> Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved by: <br /> Tamara Baptista Susan Hsieh Gerry Beaudin <br /> Interim Director of Operations Director of Finance City Manager <br /> and Water Utilities <br /> Attachment: <br /> 1 .
