A. The International Fire Code, 2021 Edition, as amended and set forth in the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 9, published by the Interna- tional Code Council is hereby adopted, together with Appendices D, E (informational purposes), F, and H except as set forth in this chapter. B. The International Fire Code (IFC) adopted by reference for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion in this chapter by reference is amended by the following additions, deletions and amendments thereto as set forth in this chapter. Refer- ence numbers herein are taken from the 2022 California Fire Code (CFC). C. These regulations shall be known as the Pleasanton Fire Code, hereinafter referred to as “this code.” D. Where there is a reference in the code to the “Fire Official,” “Fire Code Official” or “Authority Hav- ing Jurisdiction,” it shall mean the “Fire Chief” or in the absence of the Fire Chief, the Fire Marshal. Chapter 1 Division II, Section 103.1 is amended to read: The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department is hereby created as the official in charge thereof shall be known as the fire code official. The func- tion of the agency shall be the implementation, administration and enforcement of the provisions of this code.
