RESOLUTION NO. 23-1374 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br /> THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE REGARDING POLICE DEPARTMENT FEES, USE <br /> PERMIT FEES, AND HYDRANT METER DEPOSITS <br /> WHEREAS, some Police Department fees have not been significantly updated since <br /> 1987, 1995 and 2000, and many references are to materials or services no longer provided. An <br /> update of the Police Department's General fees, and Special Permits fees is proposed to reflect <br /> current technology and services, as well as changes to taxi rates to reflect inflation since the last <br /> adjustment 17 years ago, and Tow Rates and Fees to parallel rates in the current tow contracts; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the California legislature prohibits an agency from requiring a use permit for <br /> a large family daycare per SB 234 of 2019; and <br /> WHEREAS, the deposit for hydrant meters is amended to reflect different types of hydrant <br /> meters and increased meter costs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Amends the Master Fee Schedule as follows: <br /> Section V. Police Department, Subsections A. General, B. Special Permits, and D. Tow Rates <br /> and Fee as provided in the attached Exhibit A. <br /> Section II. Planning, Subsection B. Application Fees, delete the Use Permit fee for Large Family <br /> Day Care Homes. <br /> Section IX. Water Rates, Fees and Charges, Subsection A. Water Rates & Charges, amend the <br /> lines regarding Hydrant Meter Deposits to read as follows: <br /> Hydrant Meter Deposits <br /> Potable Water Hydrant Meter Deposit <br /> %" Hydrant Meter& Backflow Assembly $1,500.00 <br /> 3" Hydrant Meter & Backflow Assembly $4,000.00 <br /> Recycled Water Hydrant Meter Deposit <br /> 3" Recycled Hydrant Meter $ 2,500.00 <br /> Residential Construction Water Unit Cost <br /> For Units that will be individually metered $25.00 <br /> SECTION 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on March 21, 2023. <br />
