Resolution No. 23-1378 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> A. The military equipment identified in the Military Equipment Use Policy is necessary <br /> because there is no reasonable alternative that can achieve the same objective of officer and <br /> civilian safety; and <br /> B. The Military Equipment Use Policy will safeguard the public's welfare, safety, civil rights, <br /> and civil liberties; and <br /> C. The equipment described in the Military Equipment Use Policy is reasonably cost <br /> effective compared to available alternatives that can achieve the same objective of officer and <br /> civilian safety; and <br /> D. Prior military equipment use complied with the applicable equipment use policy (which <br /> included equipment now defined as military equipment) that was in effect at the time, or if prior <br /> uses did not comply with the accompanying military equipment use policy, corrective action has <br /> been taken to remedy nonconforming uses and ensure future compliance. <br /> SECTION 3. The City Council renews the Military Equipment Use Policy. <br /> SECTION 4. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the <br /> book of original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on March 21, 2023. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 21St day of March <br /> 2023, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Jo jlyn K ng,I <br /> ty Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> ��� ,J <br /> Daniel G.
