EXHIBIT D
Stoneridge Mall Framework
Public Comments

Provided for the January 11, 2023, Planning Commission meeting
Page 19

From: email@email.com
Sent: Friday, December 16, 2022 12:23 PM
To: Ellen Clark <eclark@cityofpleasantonca.gov>; shweta bonn; 'Emily Carroll'; 'Karla Brown';
jbalch925@email.com; Julie Testa; Valerie Arkin; Gerry Beaudin
Cc: Brandon Pace; Ken Morgan
Subject: Stoneridge Mall redevelopment

I watched the Council/ Commission joint meeting of 12/15/22. When called upon to speak I was MUTED
BY HOST. I tried several things to unmute but was not successful. I do not know about the two other
people who were also unable to connect.
Everyone on- entire Team- should be congratulated for making real good progress in such a short time.
Your consultant is also impressive- which I do not say lightly.
Most of my comments have already been stated but please allow me to add a few thoughts for the
Conceptual Plan::
1- Assuming there will be 1400 dwelling units you will need a minimum of 2100 parking spaces for
them. I recommend that each living unit project have a multi story parking structure to minimize surface
parking, provide vehicle security and minimize capturing of Mall surface parking spaces.
2- Each of the Public Open Space / Recreation area should be close to living units as well as Mall
entrances with some recreation facilities and shielded by multi story buildings to protect from winds.
3- The entire 75 acre s should be surrounded by a wide path inside of Stoneridge Mall Rd, and be
wide enough to accommodate walkers,. Bikers, and battery powered “ golf carts. “
4- Privately owned and public battery powered golf carts should be encouraged. Residents will
need carrying capacity for groceries and shopping bags that are two large for bicycles to carry. It is a
long way from the south and east sides of property to BART. Time and weather will be a factor. A
portion of each parking structure including BART can be set aside for cart parking.
5- Fees should be reduced wherever possible – Park Dedication fees should be waived entirely.
6- The 75 acres has four ( 4 ) very capable and experienced property owners. Collaboration and
cooperation with them is obviously necessary. All parties want/ need to be Allies.
7- Thank You for your consideration and good luck on this exciting redevelopment /
IMPROVEMENT project.

BRAD HIRST
Most of my comments have already been stated
email @ email.com
925-XXX-XXXX
