EXHIBIT D
Stoneridge Mall Framework
Public Comments

Provided for the December 15, 2022, Joint Planning Commission and City Council meeting
Redistributed for the January 11, 2023, Planning Commission meeting
Page 12

City of Pleasanton | P.O. Box 520, Pleasanton, CA 94566

From: Ujwala Puranik
Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2022 9:05 PM
To: Shweta Bonn <sbonn@cityofpleasantonca.gov>
Subject: Feedback about proposed housing at Stoneridge mall

Hi Shweta,

I have some feedback to share about the proposed housing at Stoneridge mall. I am a resident in
the neighboring area and I am very concerned about the number of units being proposed resulting in
very high density housing. Concerns are mainly around
- safety and security
- traffic congestion

I understand the need for housing units, but couldn't these be distributed and balanced throughout the
city rather than being concentrated in this one area?

Redeveloping the Stoneridge mall area is a great opportunity and having retail with restaurants, outdoor
dining, grocery store(s) like Trader Joe's, a store like Tuesday Morning perhaps and lots of green space
while incorporating some housing are just some ideas. It would be a shame if the proposed high density
housing results in a neighborhood that families do not want to go to due to safety, security concerns.

Please please please reconsider the number of units being proposed.

Regards,
Ujwala
