Phase II provides for <br />community uses including parks and open space, a youth and <br />community center, as well as an amphitheater and agricultural uses. <br />4 . Laguna Oaks Specific Plan. This Specific Plan is essentiall y a <br />development plan for the Laguna Oaks subdivision, where the <br />first homes were completed in 1995. <br />5 . North Sycamore Sp e ci fi c Plan . The City adopted this 135 -acre <br />Specific Plan in 1992 with the objective of providing guidance for <br />annexation and development while retaining the area's rural <br />character. Land-use designations include Low-Den sity <br />Residential, Agricultural, and some Commercial and Medium- <br />Density Residential near Sunol Boulevard. As of 2006, residential <br />development of the area is mainly complete, although some <br />commercial development is yet to be constructed . <br />6 . Happy Vall e y Specific Plan. In 1998 the City adopted the 860 - <br />acre Specific Plan for Happy Valley. The Specific Plan area, which <br />includes both incorporated and unincorporated land, includes a <br />municipal golf course, open space and agricultural lands, as well as <br />land for development of low-, medium-, and semi -rural -density <br />homes . The Callippe Preserve Golf Course opened in 2005 and <br />several golf-course custom homes have been developed. <br />7 . Vineya rd Av e nue Corrido r Specific Plan. This Specific Plan <br />covers 384 area s on both s ide s of old Vineyard -81...venue. The Plan <br />allows a mix of single-family homes, vineyards, open space, <br />community park, elementary school, and possible wine country <br />related commercial sites . As of 2006, most of the single -family <br />homes are either built or have p lanning approvals, and Vineyard <br />A venue has been realigned. <br />Future Specific Plans <br />In order to evaluate land use options and to provide detailed planning <br />guidance in an area undergoing land -use transition, P leasanton will <br />initiate a specific plan for the East Pleasanton area. <br />Adopted 07 21 09 2 -14 <br />2.0 Land Use Element <br />Call ippe Pre serv e Go lf Cours e in Happy Vall e y area <br />In 1998 the City initiated a p lanning process for this area, which in <br />1999 the City deferred in order to complete the Bernal Property <br />Speci fic Plan. This area includes approximately 1,000 acres in East <br />Pleasanton and consists of lakes (reclaimed sand-and-gravel pits) now <br />owned by Zone 7 Water Agency and Pleasanton Gravel Company, <br />and land formerly owned by Hanson (Kaiser) Aggregates and Kiewit <br />Corporation. Pleasanton will coordinate with Zone 7 on the p lanning <br />of land uses in this area .
