The project proposes to remove a total of 105 existing trees, including <br /> 27 heritage-size trees. The trees require removal due to direct or significant <br /> encroachment by the project. Several existing trees to the west of the project area and <br /> within the existing mall parking lot would remain. Figure 19 below shows which existing <br /> trees would be removed and those to be preserved. <br /> Preliminary landscape plans have been provided for the project.
