NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the attached Annual Military Equipment Use <br /> Report for 2022. <br /> SECTION 2. Based on the Annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2022, the City <br /> Council determines that each type of military equipment identified in the Report has complied <br /> with the following standards: <br /> A. The military equipment identified in the Military Equipment Use Policy is necessary <br /> uCcauaC uICIC iS ilu ICaSVIIauIC anClrialivC lndl can achieve the- same objective or vmcer and <br /> civilian safety; and <br /> B. The Military Equipment Use Policy will safeguard the public's welfare, safety, civil <br /> rights, and civil liberties; and <br /> C. The equipment described in the Military Equipment Use Policy is reasonably cost <br /> effective compared to available alternatives that can achieve the same objective of <br /> officer and civilian safety; and <br /> D. Prior military equipment use complied with the applicable equipment use policy <br /> (which included equipment now defined as military equipment) that was in effect at the time, or <br /> if prior uses did not comply with the accompanying military equipment use policy, corrective <br /> action has been taken to remedy nonconforming uses and ensure future compliance. <br /> SECTION 3. The City Council renews the Military Equipment Use Policy. <br /> SECTION 4. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into <br /> the book of original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on March 21, 2023. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br /> foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on March 21, <br /> 2023 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Daniel G.
