NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the attached Annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2022. SECTION 2. Based on the Annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2022, the City Council determines that each type of military equipment identified in the Report has complied with the following standards: A. The military equipment identified in the Military Equipment Use Policy is necessary uCcauaC uICIC iS ilu ICaSVIIauIC anClrialivC lndl can achieve the- same objective or vmcer and civilian safety; and B. The Military Equipment Use Policy will safeguard the public's welfare, safety, civil rights, and civil liberties; and C. The equipment described in the Military Equipment Use Policy is reasonably cost effective compared to available alternatives that can achieve the same objective of officer and civilian safety; and D. Prior military equipment use complied with the applicable equipment use policy (which included equipment now defined as military equipment) that was in effect at the time, or if prior uses did not comply with the accompanying military equipment use policy, corrective action has been taken to remedy nonconforming uses and ensure future compliance. SECTION 3. The City Council renews the Military Equipment Use Policy. SECTION 4. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
