4 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> ::; r '"` CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON, <br /> March 7, 2023 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF <br /> THE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2022 <br /> AND AUTHORIZE SUBMITTAL TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF <br /> HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND THE GOVERNOR'S <br /> OFFICE OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH <br /> SUMMARY <br /> An Annual Progress Report (APR) on the status of the Pleasanton General Plan Housing <br /> Element has been prepared for the 2022 calendar year, per State law. The report must <br /> be approved by the local legislative body through a resolution and submitted to the State <br /> Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Governor's Office <br /> of Planning and Research (OPR) by April 1 of each year to show the status of <br /> implementation of the Housing Element goals, policies, and programs. This annual <br /> report will be the seventh and final APR submitted for the 2015-2023 (5th Cycle) Housing <br /> Element cycle, which was superseded by the 6th Cycle Housing Element adopted on <br /> January 26, 2023. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the City Council adopt the resolution accompanying this report that <br /> approves the 2022 Housing Element Annual Progress Report and authorizes submittal of <br /> the report to HCD and OPR. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact from approving the City's Annual Progress Report — 2022. <br />
