Of <br />these, 31 species were removed from consideration due to the lack of suitable habitat within or adjacent <br />to the project site, or the project site being outside of the species’ known range. One of the remaining seven <br />species (oak titmouse [Baeolophus inornatus]) is known to occur in the biological study area, and the other <br />seven have moderate to high potential to occur (see Table 3.4-2). No special-status wildlife species were <br />detected during the April 2021 site visit. Because of their legal status and potential occurrence in the <br />biological study area, additional information on California red-legged frog (Rana draytonii) and Alameda <br />whipsnake (Masticophis lateralis euryxanthus) is provided below. <br />Table 3.4-2.
