2005 Pleasanton Plan 2025 2.0 Land Use Element <br />2-28 Adopted 07 21 09 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />conservation, and energy self-sufficiency measures into land-use <br />planning and would make energy use and the environment important <br />considerations. <br />Noise Element <br />The Noise Element discusses noise from all sources and its effects <br />on residential areas and other sensitive receptors. The Land Use <br />Element maps the location of these areas. <br />Community Character Element <br />The Community Character Element strives to preserve and enhance <br />those aspects which make the city special and distinct. This Element <br />would also maintain a visual separation between Pleasanton and <br />Livermore along Stanley Boulevard. The Land Use Element would <br />preserve scenic hillside and ridge views of the Pleasanton, Main, and <br />the Southeast Hills ridgelands, would preserve the remaining <br />agricultural open space in the ridgelands, preserve the character of <br />Downtown, and preserve and enhance the character of existing <br />residential neighborhoods. <br />Economic and Fiscal Element <br />The Economic and Fiscal Element promotes a varied mix of land <br />uses to ensure a broad revenue base through proactive land use <br />planning and zoning. The Land Use Element designates land uses <br />that affect the economic health of the community. <br />LAND USE GOALS, POLICIES, AND PROGRAMS <br />The following goals, policies, and programs in addition to those <br />contained in other Elements, constitute an action program to <br />implement the objectives described in this Element.
