BACKGROUND <br /> Tri-Valley Community Television has been broadcasting since 1976 and is the <br /> government and public education channel serving the cities of Dublin, Livermore, and <br /> Pleasanton, California. Known to many as TV30, the station operates channels 28, 29 <br /> and 30 on the Comcast cable system, broadcasting to a population of nearly 300,000 <br /> people. <br /> Tri-Valley Community Television is a California non-profit public benefit corporation <br /> under Internal Revenue code section 501(c)(3). The corporation is governed by a three- <br /> member Board of Directors comprised of the mayors of the cities of Dublin, Livermore, <br /> and Pleasanton. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Annually the Tri-Valley Community Television Board is presented with an operating and <br /> capital budget for consideration. The operating and capital costs are divided between <br /> the three cities on a per capita basis. If approved by the board, the budget request is <br /> then made to each City Council for consideration. <br /> At its May 19, 2022, TVCTV Board Meeting the Board of Directors amended the <br /> budgeted amount for FY 2022-2023 to $174,602.
