CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br /> January 11, 2023 <br /> This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom's <br /> Executive Order N-29-20 and AB 361 COVID-19 pandemic protocols. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> Mayor Brown called the special meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Absent: Councilmember Arkin <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> 1. Adopt a resolution ratifying the City Manager/ Director of Emergency Services' Proclamation of the <br /> Existence of a Local Emergency due to severe storms <br /> Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 23-1351 ratifying the City Manager/Director of <br /> Emergency Services' proclamation of the existence of a local emergency due to severe storms. <br /> 2. Adopt a resolution delegating authority to the City Manager or their designee to award contracts <br /> and to execute agreements on behalf of the City for storm-related purchases during the existence of <br /> the local emergency <br /> Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 23-1352 delegating authority to the City Manager or their <br /> designee to award contracts and execute agreements on behalf of the City for storm-related <br /> purchases during the existence of the local emergency. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Balch/Nibert to approve the consent calendar as recommended. Motion <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Councilmember Arkin <br /> ADJOURNMENT— Mayor Brown adjourned the meeting at 3:00 p.m. <br /> JocE Kwong City lerk <br />
