CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 469 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF <br /> CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DES IGNATED <br /> AS ANNEXATION NO. 42, "HANSEN-GIGER ADDITION", <br /> TO THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> The City Council does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby make the following <br />findings: (a) On May 31, 1966, the Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton did pass and adopt Amended Resolution No. 66-79, <br />giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited ter- <br />ritory to the City of Pleasanton. Said territory was designated <br />as Annexation No. 42, "Hansen-Giger Addition", and did describe <br />the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed. <br /> <br /> (b) Said Amended Resolution No. 66-79 contained a <br />notice of the time and place for the Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton to hear protests made by any person owning real <br />property within the territory proposed to be annexed. Said time <br />of said hearing was not less than fifteen nor more than sixty <br />days from the date of passage of the Amended Resolution. <br /> <br /> (c) On July 25, 1966, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in <br />the Council Chambers at the Women's Club Building, Southwest <br />corner of Vineyard and Regalia Avenues of the City of Pleasanton, <br />County of Alameda, State of California, the said City Council <br />did conduct a public hearing and pass upon protests made, there <br />being none. By Resolution No. 66-132 the City Council determined <br />that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the <br />value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as <br />shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners <br />of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed <br />to be annexed as determined by said legislative body. <br /> <br /> (d) Said territory is contiguous to the City of <br /> <br />Pleasanton, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Alameda <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
